Where The Real Heart of Kusadasi Is...
It’s not often in life that I am pleasantly surprised, so today was definitely one to be marked on the calendar. Both myself and my business partner Linda had the distinct privilege of meeting the Mayors acquaintance at the same time as being privy to one of his beautiful renovation projects. Naively I thought that I knew most of Kusadasi by now but I was to be proved entirely wrong. It so happens that at the very top of Kusadasi there is a whole new part of town waiting to be discovered and it’s steeped in rich history. Behind the scenes and away from the hustle and bustle of normal Kusadasian life there are many authentic houses and old streets that are being prepared for a proper facelift under the supervision of our own
Baskan, Esat Altungun.

SUNDAY
was
a day that put KUSADASI
on the map for class and
elegance. ‘ORHAN
ACADEMIA’
organised an opening
that had others a gasp
in town. The build
up, leading towards the
unveiling of their new
building has left
business professionals
in town very curious.
This weekend bought many
‘high fluting’
Kusadasians out to
their, opening cocktail
to see what they had
been working so
tirelessly on. As
the doors to Orhan
Academia opened it
didn’t disappoint the
onlookers. The
Kusadasi Times gladly,
accepted the invitation
to attend such an event.

Dance Day Festival
13:05:10 FRIDAY night was an evening that was enjoyed by many as the Kusadasi Dance and Sports Club showed that they had much more than just dancing talent. From start to finish the entire show was a display of bursting energy and expression of dance from cultures around the world. From heart moving hip hop, to slow, ‘mind capturing’ freestyle, to authentic belly dance, folk dance and hip shaking salsa, the event did indeed travel through a well choreographed world of cultural dancing.
